We are very flexible, and who knows, maybe we will be able to create that perfect custom head badge for you!
Probably the number one question I get when explaining what I do is, "What is a bike head badge?" A bike head badge refers to the logo of the bike manufacturer or frame builder, typically affixed to the front of the bicycle just below the handlebars on the head tube. You may also know them as head tube badges, bicycle headbadges, bike nameplates, or even bike jewelry for the fancy ones.
Today, most bike manufacturers have resorted to stickers or decals in order to save money and increase profits. To us, this is a crazy idea! At one point in history head badges were some of the most ornate, detailed, and beautiful part of the bicycle. It was meant as a stamp of quality from the manufacturer, showing that the bike you have chosen to ride is of the best and deserves the best. Essentially, it became a brand recognition tool, most noted by Schwinn's ability to reach the mass markets.
Today most enthusiasts are building their own bicycles from the frame up. So if you are that type of person why not have your own brand; a tube badge that represents all the sweat and tears that went into building your beautiful bike and, most importantly, you as a unique rider.
On the other hand maybe you just want to show off some personality on your current bicycle. So let people know who you are and how different you are from them! Be prepared to stand out in the crowd and receive complements!
Also, recently, we were approached by someone who purchased a tube badge for her top frame tube. While riding her bike she wanted to be able to look down and see that personal touch that reminded her of herself as a little girl. This is just one of the many ways a custom head badge can make your bicycle extra special. So remember, a head badge can be used almost anywhere on your bike to add that special look.
Well I think I have rambled on enough...but remember to check us out the Our Story page to learn more about myself and how VeloBadge got started. We want you to become part of our family!
